The Hacker Within Logo

The Hacker Within is a multidisciplinary group with members from various departments in the University of Wisconsin. To symbolize the multidisciplinary nature and computing focus of the groups, the logo has a map of the Earth drawn using binary numbers. The binary numbers spell "The Hacker Within" using the ASCII format. This page has several versions of our logo attached in several sizes and file formats. If you want to modify the logo at all, download the GIMP version (here). An example of the logo is shown below.

We also have a "dark" logo that might look better on black backgrounds.
